The BCA Profile

The Story of Brian Crowley Architectural Services

The Origin Story

Originally from New York, I was fortunate enough to have an early exposure to the real estate development and construction industries thru family business. Working on construction sites in the most interesting and fast-paced city in the world opened my eyes to the potential talented designers and buildings offer to others. This fared well with my deeply rooted design and artistic predisposition. All throughout adolescence and young adulthood my focus was on the arts. Whether it was drawing, painting, sculpture or photography my attention was given to anything that served as an outlet for creative expression. This was coupled with my fascination of building and the understanding of how things went together and worked to serve their purpose. Being naturally inquisitive it seemed appropriate to continue with a formal education in both Fine Art as well as Philosophy.

Everyone should have the opportunity to experience a well-designed space they enjoy being in, a place they feel comfortable in and enjoy sharing with their friends and family.

Developing My Skills & Building a Career

Upon completion of an undergraduate degree the decision was made to relocate west to pursue a professional degree in the study of Architecture. Excelling in graduate school I was fortunate enough to become employed by one of the leading Design-Build construction companies in Southern California. For nearly a decade I honed my skills working under the guidance of design and construction industry veterans. I developed a deeper appreciation for thoughtful design and efficient construction sequencing. The experience also instilled in me the need to remain focused on timeline and budgetary constraints, an art in itself which demands respect and constant attention. The years of collaborating with numerous architectural, engineering and construction firms has allowed me to develop a comprehensive set of skills unique to the practice of architecture.

The decision was made to take these skills back east where I still call home. This was done to pursue my passion for designing and building spaces people long for and deserve. Everyone should have the opportunity to experience a well-designed space they enjoy being in, a place they feel comfortable in and enjoy sharing with their friends and family. My desire is to collaborate with the client, understand what it is they want out of the experience and help them achieve their goal. This inevitably results in satisfaction for all parties and a product everyone can be proud to have been a part of. It is for this reason I offer my services to the individual.
